marketability. Most things can be done for little or no money. Use

Make the most of first impressions: -Make sure the lawn
is always cut, watered and free of debris. Keep shrubs and low tree
branches trimmed back. Blooming flowers can really dress things up.
Inspect the Exterior: -Repair loose window
and door caulk and paint. Re-attach loose gutters and siding. Look over the
trim, soffit, fascia and roof. Make necessary repairs as soon as possible.
Check garage door for wear & tear: -Replace damaged sections and
keep the door down at all times.
Re-seal asphalt driveways: -In the
winter, keep all walks and driveways free of ice & snow.
Give every
room a thorough cleaning: -Include carpets, blinds and windows and trim.
Remove all clutter: -Clear rooms and closets. Consider using a
temporary storage facility.
Check all faucets, sinks and tubs: - Look
for leaks & stains. Replace or repair worn fixtures.
Kitchens sell
homes: -Make sure yours looks fresh. Consider a fresh coat of paint and new
blinds. Keep all counters free from appliances and nick knacks. Make everything

Spruce up dingy bathrooms: -Fresh paint & new towels

Light & Bright: -Replace dim lights with new
high wattage bulbs. The brighter the bulb the better.

Daylight: -Keep drapes and blinds open so natural light fills the room.
Light the Night: -At night, keep outside lights on at all times and
turn on all interior lights for every showing.
