Suggestions to Save You Time and Money
|
When selecting a Realtor to work with there are a few things to keep in mind. Most importantly, choose a Realtor that you feel comfortable with. Give that person the opportunity to learn your likes and dislikes. Communicate openly. A Realtor has access to thousands of listings for sale in all price ranges and areas. A good Buyer Agent will freely offer information on comparative listings, recent sales as well as neighborhood and school information.
Establish a Priority System - Consider those which are most important and emphasize them. Don't be unrealistic as to what you expect to find in your price range. Your RealStar Sales Consultant can show you what features and amenities to expect in your price range.
Income + Lifestyle = Mortgage Payment - Sit down with your RealStar Sales Consultant and honestly discuss your income and living expenses. Consider potential future changes (i.e. children, add-ons, etc). A dream home is worth a sacrifice but don't mortgage your future.
Get a Perspective - View several homes in the area(s) you are interested in. However, be willing to look at comparable areas your Realtor recommends. With your RealStar Sales Consultant's help you will ultimately end up with a great perspective of home values.
Price and Terms - Most homes are priced near Market Value. Your RealStar Sales Consultant will inform you of all circumstances affecting Market Value. A realistic offer will receive consideration. One that is not realistic can alienate the Seller and ruin your chances.
Financing- It is not necessary to 1) come up with a large downpayment, or 2) have Perfect credit in order to purchase a home. Your RealStar Sales Consultant is aware of special lender programs and alternative methods of financing. Most are advantageous for the Buyer!
If It's Not In Writing, It Doesn't ExistRealStar Sales Consultant will put all discussions, arrangements and agreements in writing.
Loyalty Breeds Loyalty - Be honest and up front with your RealStar Sales Consultant. Hard feelings and disloyalty will cause headaches, delays and may keep you from getting the home you want. Your loyalty to any Realtor will result in a sincere commitment to serving your best interests. |
